The drawn element is not as important as the motive itself. This may be the reason why I am prone to rely on my hand's first thought regarding the drawings. I rarely do sketches as I find the honesty in the very first instinct interesting and appealing. The motive, the intention, is often there before the first pencilstroke. During the drawing process the initial motive might be grafted or even eroded as more elements are put to paper.


Text has become an increasingly important element in my way of working. Often as a note, the sudden idea, other times as a text complimenting a visual piece of work, and in recent times; also as the primary element.


In my early formative years, which arguably are still happening, I had a clear idea of ​​exhibiting my works in galleries. It quickly turned out that the commercial art world wasn´t a match for me. In the early end I decided to pull out and have since then only showed my work in artist run spaces, private viewings and online. I have put my focus on the areas that I actually cherish: Researching, learning and creating.

In recent years I have also found pleasure in teaching in architecture and drawing.
